PROJECT OVERVIEW

Saatchi Art is an online gallery that allows artists from around the world to upload images of their original artworks and sell them directly to collectors. Curators carefully sift through thousands of artworks to select collections and artists whose works are distinctive, on-trend, and visually compelling. I worked for Saatchi Art as both an email marketing specialist and brand strategist for a new concept they wanted to launch called Limited by Saatchi Art, which aimed to make original art accessible for emerging collectors with limited-edition prints.

Saatchi Art Emails

My primary function was to work with the Saatchi Art team to write copy, curate artworks for weekly newsletters, and write/edit digital content for our weekly newsletters that were sent out to over 650K subscribers. Our newsletters were the biggest revenue-driver, and my decisions were led by data and trends in the art market, interior design, etc. I worked closely with the digital marketing staff for A/B testing to determine what tended to lead to conversion aside from discounts and what drove up the Average Transaction Value (ATV).

Branding Strategy

I worked with the Senior Marketing Manager to set up several branding and content workshops to consider how we would position the new Limited by Saatchi Art brand. These workshops were cross-functional and allowed decision makers from various teams to pitch in their ideas and offer a unique perspective. The result of these workshops was stakeholder alignment across departments and a unified mission. This resulted in a successful launch and a cohesive brand roll-out across digital platforms.

Saatchi Art Blog: Canvas

To further support the creation of our weekly newsletters for both the Saatchi Art and Limited by Saatchi Art audience, I wrote, designed, and curated artworks for several blog posts (see above). These blog posts were optimized for SEO and we made sure to thread the needle with copy and original artworks that matched the content of each blog post.
